Floral Hall Activities
Floral Hall is where you will find the Fleece Show & Sale, Fiber Arts Contests and the Fiber Arts Center hosted by Green Mountain Knitting Guild. We welcome and thank the talented fiber artists and groups who will be demonstrating their crafts in Floral Hall through the weekend. Some of the demos are hands-on opportunities for you to try a new craft.

It’s all about “COMMUNITY’ for children and adults in the Fiber Arts Center at the rear of Floral Hall. We feature demonstrations and hands-on activities for all ages and skill levels:
Saturday and Sunday:
All Day Demonstrations and Hands-on Activities with:
- Six Loose Ladies (spinning)
- Sharon Rug Hookers (rug hooking)
- Green Mountain Knitting Guild (knitting)
- Vermont Weavers Guild (weaving with various looms)
- Kid’s Korner (quiet space and activities for younger children and their adults)

- Coverlet Project and Traditional Weaving Samples
- Swedish and Rio Grande Inspired Weaving

- “Kumihimo Braiding” with Judy and Amy, 11am – noon
- “New to Me Farm Yarn” with Judy, 1pm – 2pm

- “Finger Knitting” with Leslie, 10am – 1pm
- “Ask a Knitting Question” with Sue and Judy, 11am – noon
- “Make a Pompom” with Amy, 1pm – 2pm

The Green Mountain Knitting Guild celebrates Shearing Day, the 2026 Green Mountain Shawl by Erika Field, and introduces the 2027 shawl. Meet the designers, see beautiful shawls made by GMKG members, and get details to shop the Festival for your 2027 shawl yarn.
