Fiber Arts Contest 2024
Our Fiber Arts Contest is a wonderful opportunity for fiber artists to share their beautiful creations and have them on display for Festival-goers. We welcome garments, accessories, household and decorative items and other projects that spark your imagination. The judges will be looking at craftspersonship and technique, aesthetics, originality and complexity.
Festival Theme 2024 – International Year of Camelids
The Vermont Sheep & Wool Festival and the Vermont Fibershed appreciate the different species of camelids that provide fiber, meat and milk in many countries. The larger of the camelids also work as livestock guardians and transporters of people and cargo.
In Vermont, we are most familiar with llamas and alpacas – both of which thrive here and provide amazingly soft and warm fiber.
