Handpainted Yarns & Fibers
Ellen’s 1/2 Pint Farm has been specializing in handpainted yarns and fibers for over 30 years. I do not have a degree in fiber arts or color theory, just a passion for color!
We carry a large variety of yarns, from lace to fingering, to bulky weight. We have 100% wool, most of which is merino, also mohair, alpaca, yak, camel, and a lot of silk blends. In addition to big and small skeins (including mini-skeins!), we also have a lot of kits and yarn bundles (sweater quantity skeins or bundles of skeins).
Most of our yarns come with pattern support, if you are looking for a new project. Although most of the patterns are not shown/listed on the website, we can usually recommend one for whatever yarn you are interested in.
I started out dyeing a lot of fibers, got away from that for a few years, but now have a good selection of handpainted roving again. What we have in stock for fibers are listed on the website.
A new venture for me is sewing project and gadget bags. Because of my love for color, most of the bags I make are made out of bright batik fabric.
We do also carry a large selection of knitting needles and other accessories, although those are not on the website. If you are looking for something specific, please ask!
