My name is Sherie Gage and I am the artist and owner of Cone 6 Designs. I work in both enamel and ceramics, combining similar surface design techniques to both media. I apply my own photographic imagery of insects, birds, botanicals in simple elegant designs that accentuates their intricate beauty.
I work with metal forming, wheel throwing, kiln firing, glaze making, digital photography, and stencil making in combination to create simple, yet dynamic pieces. My recent interest is in combining ceramics and enamel elements together in one piece. For example, making a ceramic vessel with an enamel top.
