Llamas, Alpacas and more…
Many people are not aware that llamas and alpacas, which are not uncommon in Vermont, are members of the camel family. Visit the Camelid Display in the Judging Arena and visit the llamas and alpacas and learn about their relatives: camels, vicunas and guanacos.
New England Alpaca Owners & Breeders Association (NEAOBA) is a Festival sponsor and representatives will be on hand to talk about camelids and their amazing fiber. We’ll have llamas and alpacas, a fiber display and talks. Try your hand at making a felted ball from alpaca fiber.
