Tamara’s designs aim to be classic wardrobe staples with a nod to current trends. She carefully considers silhouettes and uses thoughtful shaping to create well-fitted garments that feel flattering, comfortable, and easy to wear for the entire size-inclusive size range. Her patterns include tips on how to customize for your own unique body shape as well, hoping to encourage knitters to gain the skills and confidence to modify any pattern to get the best fit. She also enjoys experimenting with colorwork, including her Tarot Card Sweater for which she created a dozen original tarot card illustrations!
Tamara learned to knit after moving to Vermont during the pandemic, and was soon knitting under her desk through all of her Zoom meetings. Her background in software engineering has translated to understanding the math underlying garment design and pattern-writing. She’s found knitting to be an endlessly enriching hobby, and gets so much joy from seeing her designs come to life through others’ hands, and from the incredible community that knitting has brought into her life.
