Designer Alley – located at the north end of the fairgrounds in the Judging Arena – features designers of fiber arts patterns. We hope this encourages people to discover new designers and allows an opportunity to chat with your favorites designers about their patterns.

At 1pm on Saturday, the Green Mountain Knitting Guild will host their meet-up for photos and conversation about this year’s Green Mountain Shawl, the Lindal Turritella. Ona will be there to meet everyone who participated in the KAL. This will take place near the Dodge Gilman Building or in the Judging Arena, in case of rain.
Each day from 2-3pm, the designers will host a “STITCH-IN” on the bleachers in the Judging Arena. At 3pm of each day, there will be a drawing for a gift basket of items donated by designers that may include patterns, yarn kits, notions, or designs.
Throughout both days, coloring tables will be available in the center of the Judging Arena for anyone interested in designing their own pieces from the Designer Alley Collection. Each designer will be providing color planning pages or coloring pages from their patterns to inspire young artists to create their own color palette and finished piece. They can then take their drawing with a parent to source yarn for their projects. Information on the pattern will be on the page itself. Assorted crayons will be available.
