At 1pm on both days of the Festival, the Green Mountain Knitting Guild will celebrate Shearing Day, the 2026 Green Mountain Shawl, by designer Erika Field. There will be a makers’ meetup and group photo outside the Gilman-Dodge building. Come and meet Erika and admire the beautiful Shearing Day shawls made by GMKG members and friends. At the meetup we’ll also announce the 2027 Green Mountain Shawl, introduce the designer, and reveal the knitty-gritty about yarn choices and yardages so you can shop the festival for your yarn!
