Join the Green Mountain Knitting Guild for the 2025 Shawl Project
Calling all knitters! The Green Mountain Knitting Guild invites you to participate in the Green Mountain Shawl Project, an annual activity that has become a Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival tradition.
Each year the Guild selects a shawl by a Vermont knitwear designer to be that year’s Green Mountain Shawl. This year the Green Mountain Shawl is … the Lindal Turritella by Ona Wöldten! Visitors to the 2024 Vermont Sheep and Wool Festival will likely remember seeing Ona’s eye-catching designs in Designer Alley. The Lindal Turritella is available on Ravelry.com.
While knitters are always free to knit with any yarn they choose, the Green Mountain Shawl Project offers the perfect opportunity to explore some of the beautiful yarns produced in our local fibershed.
