Hand-crafted Furniture and Fiber Art
My husband and I live on a small hillside homestead eight miles from Brattleboro and have raised Angora goats here for over 35 years, mostly selling our fleeces to Green Mountain Spinnery. We have recently embarked on a new adventure — fine rustic furniture and fiber art. We started making rustic furniture over 30 years ago, and to a lesser degree dabbled in fiber art, but were too busy in the work-a-day world to dive in too deeply. Now retired after 25 years in years in public education, we are joyfully taking the deep dive. The adventurous part of our new business is that we are combining the two crafts by applying felted upholstery to some of our chairs and benches.
Our furniture is unique, one-of-a-kind, and hand crafted — the wood is harvested from our woods and neighboring woodlands, by us. The mohair is ours and much of the wool is sourced locally too.
